Bunch of Roses

Watercolour 24 x 32 cms
Lovely rose painting by an artist on internet was the impetus to try my hand at painting my own roses. The roses in my garden were asleep but suddenly with onset of autumn they woke up and I was rewarded with a few fragrant beautiful stems. … tried to adopt a loose interpretation, once had to take part of the painting under the tap because it was crowded and messy.. but persevered.

Thredbo River picnic area. Thredbo-Perishe, Kosciuszko National Park

Watercolour 38 x 28 cms  Thredbo River picnic area.
Thredbo-Perisher area in Kosciuszko National Park
From Sawpitt Creek one walks down the Pallaibo walking trail and at the end of the walk one reaches this inviting Thredbo River picnic area.
In the river you may be lucky to spot a shy platypus or try some fly fishing for trout.  My husband tried numerous times, but we always ended up buying the fish at the trout farm.

Lemons and Hibiscus

Oil Lemons & Hibiscus... It was a struggle but I persevered. My parents divided their paintings between my brother and myself. My brother scored it .... so after much hesitation I decided to paint it for myself.
