For the 1st time in about 2 months I have at long last picked up a brush. Somehow lost my confidence & motivation ... and possibly painting flowers I love can get me going again.

this is my 4^th attempt at the scene … the other 3 fed the bin..
While in Europe I took a photo of the painting in a friend’s house. It was so beautiful, translucent, the  soft tones gently floating into each other,  the figures there but not there …. 

However hard I tried I just could not achieve similar result by miles.
