Krampus Acrylics, pearls, texture mediium - 60 cms x 40 cms
Krampus tradition on 5th December evening is a much anticipated event frightening the children & amusing adults for hundreds of years in Europe. While Krampus punishes misbehaving children, rattles the chain and swats them with a whip out of Birch twigs & even may put them into a bag and hauls them into hell..so the legend goes. His saintly counterpart St Nicholas, rewards them with fruit, nuts & sweets.

Aftermath of Bushfire
Aftermath of Bushfire Watercolour 38 x 28 cms
After the bushfire swept through, the resilience of the gum trees and nature is utterly amazing. The Gum trees with their trunks ¾ burn out and hollowed come alive, they sprout new branches and leaves, from burnt cinders the grass trees shoot their helms and the Waratahs make their wonderful appearance. (the little red blobs in the bushes). It is a wonder of nature.

Spray of Blue
I received a beautiful card which had stems of blue in a vase.
I loved it, it gave me the inspiration sorely lacking lately, to paint it. Now the question remain what flower is it? Delphinium, Liliac, Wisteria, Jacaranda?

A scene from Orange NSW, Australia
Watercolour 38 x 28 cms - A scene from Orange NSW
A friend sent me this photo which, with its red Japanese
Maple trees & the water lilies somehow asked to be painted. I possibly did
not do justice to the glorious photo, but at least I had a go at it.

Wiesenblumen
It started as 37 x 28 cms watercolour - Wiesenblumen - Meadow, a field of poppies & wild flowers
What a disaster, eventually I tore the painting and salvaged
only this small long segment which I felt would do as an odd-shaped Card.

Magnolia
Magnolia Watercolour 26 x 29 cms
I painted similar Pic years ago in Maria B Painting Loft.
An acquittance of mine fell in love with the Magnolia from all the photos in my
Gallery and as I really needed to return a favour I sat down and tried to replicate
the original painting but on a larger scale. It took days and lots of
frustration to go with it. I hope she’ll be happy with it.

Australian Bushland
Australian Bushland with gum trees. Tried a different approach, painting segments of the scene, observing negative space to achieve more loose effect.

Australian Natives
For the 1st time in about 2 months I have at long last picked up a brush. Somehow lost my confidence & motivation ... and possibly painting flowers I love can get me going again.
